2008 SEWI Fishing & Hunting EXPO Review
The first year's presentation of the EXPO was a success.
Predominantly, the attendees really liked the format of the Expo. The food was exceptional.
All appreciated the free parking. The snow did cause a few issues as the main lot lost about 125 spaces due to amount of snow and Olympia's snow removal mechanical breakdowns. However this issue is very easily over come for next year's Expo. The ability to offer overflow parking was a great help.
The Seminars, and content, were very well received. Again, there was a lot of appreciation for the wide range seminar content that was available.
The "Mount Competition"
1st place went to Andy Derwinski with a beautiful Badger mount.
Andy won a $200 gift certificate from Mueller's taxidermy
2nd Place went to Paul Hannes with a sentimental plaque mount of the first Whitetail he ever shot.
Paul won a gift certificate from Forge Bow Company.

Whitetail rack scoring opportunity has a few very exceptional racks come through.
Those who participated were very appreciative of the opportunity to fins out what their trophy scored.
The youth that attended really enjoyed the "Scavenger Hunt questions". They liked the prize bag they earned from finishing the answer sheet. In an unusual turn of events there were quite a few exhibitors who requested to be includded in this youth activity next year. This is a reverse response from exhibitors than what occurs at other shows.
